What variety of events does your DJ service accommodate?
Our DJ services are versatile and comprehensive, catering to a wide array of events including weddings, corporate gatherings, college events, and private family events. Whether it’s a formal black-tie affair, a lively school dance, or an intimate anniversary party, we tailor our music and setup to suit the unique atmosphere and audience of each event. Our experienced DJs are committed to creating the perfect ambiance for any occasion, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.
How does planning my event work?
What type of equipment do you use?
Our team uses professional high-end equipment that includes name brands of RCF, JBL, Bose, EV and QSC, with multiple options depending on your event request, as well as backups. We only retain equipment that is less than 5 years old, and update yearly. We value our equipment, steering clear of old equipment that is not with todays technology. Having the correct sound for your event is very important to us.
What is your style of mixing?
Our staff offers styles that apply to all different clients and scope of work. Our team has DJs that are modern club-style, or can adjust to classic style of blending a full song or even mixing in and out in 30 seconds to a minute. If you recommend Songs to be mixed seamlessly and energy is kept high throughout the event, we can do that. If you opt for lowkey, background style, we can do it. Based on you and your guests preferences, we curate the vibe you are looking for.
Do you take requests?
Yes! Within our planning site there is plenty of room for you to add your “Must Play”, “Play if Possible”, and “Do Not Play” songs.

Yes! Guest song requests are welcome with your approval. We strive to accommodate as many requests as possible while maintaining the overall vibe and energy of your event. If a request doesn’t fit the atmosphere or may not resonate with the crowd, we reserve the right to filter it out. With years of professional DJ experience, we know how to select music that keeps your event flowing smoothly.
Do you have mix I can listen to?
Are you insured, and can you work under a non-disclosure agreement?
What do your DJ tiers mean?
Our DJ tiers are based on a combination of professional experience, performance expertise, and market demand. While all of our DJs are energetic, personable, and professional, each tier reflects differences in emcee presence, music mixing ability, crowd-reading skills, and overall event leadership. As with all professional entertainment services, demand and popularity also influence pricing—DJs who are requested more frequently command higher rates.

Our more experienced DJs excel at creating seamless, fluid music sets tailored from your playlist and the energy of the room. They are highly skilled at reading the crowd in real time, adjusting music selections accordingly, and delivering a confident, polished emcee presence throughout your event. These abilities are refined through years of live event experience.

That said, DJs in our lower tiers are not “lesser” DJs. These professionals are either newer to the industry or new additions to our team. When a DJ is new to our company, they may be initially priced at a lower tier while we evaluate their performance and gather client feedback. As their experience with us grows and consistent feedback is received, they advance accordingly within our DJ tier structure.
How far do you travel?
We offer free travel within a certain radius (about 25 miles) from the office. You can view the radius map here. Anything outside that radius is subject to a travel fee. Travel fees will be calculated based travel location where the DJ is based. Anything over 30 miles or 1 hour from the entertainer’s home will be subject to a travel fee on a per basis

For event locations 1.5 hours or more away, overnight accommodations may need to be provided if your event ends past 10:30pm. For events 2 or more hours away, overnight accommodations may need to be provided regardless of the end time. If an overnight room is required, the room must be booked & paid for by the client and check-in instructions given to the entertainer at least 8 weeks prior to the event. We require overnight accommodations as a matter of safety for our performers.

Travel fees apply for each service that requires a separate vehicle: DJ, Photo Booth attendant, and AV staff.

We also request client provides parking that is as close as possible planned ahead for the DJ to ensure a smooth event with access to gain access to anything needed later on in the event.
Will I have a meeting with my DJ?
Can I meet the DJs before booking?
How will the DJ dress for my event?
Attire is tailored to the style and formality of your event. Our DJs maintain a consistently professional appearance and are dressed in refined, event-appropriate attire at all times. For corporate events, anniversaries, and milestone celebrations, DJs typically wear suits or dress pants with a blazer unless otherwise requested. For weddings and black-tie events, formal attire or tuxedos is standard. Business-casual styling is also available upon request to align with your event’s vision.
What payment options do you offer?
What is your cancellation policy?
All retainer fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event of cancellation within sixty (60) days of your scheduled event date, the full remaining balance will be due to the assigned entertainer. These terms are clearly outlined in the Terms & Conditions of your contract.

Because we do not offer refunds, we place a strong emphasis on transparency and confidence throughout the booking process. We provide multiple opportunities to ensure you feel fully comfortable with your DJ, including in-person meetings, phone or virtual consultations, and access to client references upon request.

Clients are encouraged to connect with their DJ approximately two to three months prior to the event to review music selections, timelines, and key details, supported by a comprehensive music planning questionnaire. Our organized, detail-driven approach ensures nothing is overlooked.

What if my DJ is unable to attend due to illness or emergency?
Reliability and integrity are core values at JAM Event DJs. We pride ourselves on providing certainty and peace of mind to our clients by working with highly dependable, professional DJs. Live events demand a level of commitment where last-minute absences are not taken lightly, and every reasonable measure is taken to prevent such situations.

In the rare event of a serious illness or emergency, JAM Event DJs assumes full responsibility for securing a qualified replacement DJ from our professional team. As a multi-operator company, we maintain experienced DJs and support staff on standby to ensure your event proceeds seamlessly and without disruption.
